Associate Lawyer

Atty. Jonna Isabel M. Mesa is an Associate Lawyer at Gancayco, Balasbas & Associates Law Offices. Adept in mediation, dispute settlement, and litigation, she is likewise competent in handling cases in the fields of criminal law, civil and commercial law, family law, intellectual property law, and immigration, among others. She has appeared before trial and appellate courts, and quasi-judicial tribunals, representing the firm's individual and corporate clients alike. Prior to joining the firm, Atty. Mesa previously practiced privately, where she also extended pro bono legal assistance to indigents.

Atty. Mesa earned her Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting degree from the University of Santo Tomas - Alfredo M. Velayo College of Accountancy. She holds certifications as a Certified Cost Accountant and Certified Bookkeeper from the National Institute of Accounting Technicians (United Kingdom and Australia). Before entering the legal profession, she gained corporate exposure in data analytics and banking operations, complementing her legal work with strong research, critical-thinking, and client-handling skills.

A Juris Doctor graduate of San Beda College Alabang - School of Law, Atty. Mesa held leadership positions in its Bar Operations and Human Rights Center, reflecting her commitment to both professional excellence and service. She was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2022.

Currently, Atty. Mesa also serves as the Corporate Secretary for the firm's client, Publicus Asia, Inc.
