Senior Associate Lawyer

Atty Alyssa Dela Cruz is a Senior Associate Lawyer at Gancayco Balasbas & Associates Law Offices. She began her legal career at the firm as an Underbar Associate and now specializes in litigation and dispute resolution. Her areas of practice include criminal law, civil law, immigration law, and estate planning.

She also maintains a focused practice in intellectual property law, where she advises clients on trademark registration and protection strategies. As part of her dedication to advancing IP practice, she is a member of several prestigious organizations, including the Intellectual Property Association of the Philippines (IPAP), the ASEAN Intellectual Property Association (ASEAN IPA), the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA), and the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI).

She earned her Juris Doctor degree from San Beda University and completed her Master of Laws (LL.M.) with a specialization in International Human Rights Law at Ateneo de Manila University School of Law, where she was awarded Best Master of Laws Thesis.

In addition to her legal practice, Alyssa serves in key leadership roles. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB) – CIIF Finance and Development Corporation (COCOFINANCE) and a member of the Board of Trustees of the United Coconut Planters Bank – CIIF Foundation, Inc. (COCOFOUNDATION), organizations dedicated to rural development and the empowerment of smallholder farmers.

Alyssa is also committed to pro bono service and social advocacy. She currently serves as a Director of the Legal Aid Society of the Philippines, where she leads efforts to expand access to justice for underserved communities. She is also an active member of the Business and Professional Women (BPW) organization, advocating for women's rights and empowerment. Through the Rotary Club, she also supports initiatives that promote community welfare and social justice.
