Founded in 1992 by the late former Supreme Court Associate Justice Emilio A. Gancayco, the Firm has grown into one of the country's leading law offices. With the combined experience and expertise of its partners, Gancayco Law continues to uphold a legacy of successful legal practice for over thirty years.

Our team comprises partners and associates who bring significant credentials and industry recognition. For example, our Senior Partner, Pablo M. Gancayco, has served in leadership roles in the Intellectual Property Association of the Philippines and the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA), the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), ASEAN Intellectual Property Association (AIPA), Intellectual Property Association of the Philippines (IPAP), and is recognized for his work in registration, enforcement and cancellation of copyright, patents, trademarks, industrial designs and other IP rights.

Gancayco Balasbas & Associates Law Offices is also a duly-registered member of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (PCCI), partners who received training for Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC), a partner who is currently a member of the International Chamber of Commerce and International Court of Arbitration, and lawyers who received training in the Madrid Protocol from the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL).
